Duralast Jump Starter Problems
The on/off switch (if equipped) needs to be set in the 'on' position only when trying to jump start a vehicle. Charging light will not come on when charging from the vehicle DC charge only 2 hours at a time — it will damage your jumpstarter battery if plugged in for any longer. The most obvious warning sign that a problem with the starter relay exists is when the vehicle won't start when you engage the ignition process. As stated above, electronic keys do not have a manual ignition switch. However, when powered, it should send a signal to the starter relay once the key is turned or the starter button is pressed.
When I lived in apartment I loved them. Maube its just me but I thought the first one got hotter and was move evenly cooked than yhe newer ones. George foreman grill 12205 manual muscle.
This space designated to everything Grand Cherokees- all variations! So nine days into owning my wj I've replaced the sunroof drain lines, sealed two leaks in the firewall and now my starter crapped out.
I just spent two hours trying different things, swapping relays and fuses, jumping, looking for a valet switch that got flipped until a guy rolled up in a vintage Mercedes and told me to try bumping the solenoid. After twenty progressively less gentle taps I got her up and running. I'm looking at buying a new starter tomorrow and I'm choosing between duralast and ultima. The price difference is negligible after core charge is refunded so I figured I would ask if anyone here had any good or bad experiences with either brand. They seem pretty comparable in description and both have lifetime warranties. Go with the Ultima because O'Reilly's customer service is better than VatoZone's and if you ever do have any problems they'll be more likely to help you get on your way again as fast as possible. The difference between the two is generally pretty much nothing, since Duralast and Ultima use the same parts suppliers. It does make me feel a bit better that Ultima only remanufacture starters and alternators, whereas Duralast is just an umbrella corporation for a bunch of no-name rebuilders with basically nothing on the line. The only time I suggest going Duralast is with steering boxes.
Duralast's steering box remanufacturer is just a little bit better at it than Cardone, and the prices are pretty much the same. Otherwise, I've noticed the quality is either the same (ie SuperStart vs Duralast batteries) or better (BrakeBest vs Duralast brake parts) at O'Reilly.
